- Asset Management Retail
Albert is working in the retail real estate business for almost 30 years. He started his career in 1990 as an appraiser for mainly retail properties at Jones Lang LaSalle. In 1995 he joined the retail agency of DTZ Zadelhoff. In 2004 he became member of the retail management team as associate director and has been responsible for the retail capital markets in the Netherlands. Form 2009-2011 Albert made a career switch as head of leasing, investor relations and marketing within ASR Property Development (former Fortis Property Development). He was mainly responsible for the leasing and sales of the retail developments. ASR property development was at that time the second largest retail developer in the Netherlands after the merger of William Properties.
In 2012, Albert started his own retail real business in advisory, asset management and brokerage services with the focus on retail and investments. Several institutional and key private investors made use of his knowledge to provide asset management and acquisition services. Amongst others, in 2012, as interim head of asset management, he assisted the supermarket chain C1000 by then owned by private equity company CVC and the second largest supermarket chain in the Netherlands (450 supermarket properties), during the merger with Jumbo Supermarkten. Furthermore, in 2017, he was involved in the restructuring and asset management of Annexum’s large German and Dutch-supermarket portfolio. Since 2015, Albert has been a key person at Unifore for the asset management of its retail investments.
Albert holds a tax and notary law degree from the Amsterdam University and has a master in real estate and is a certified NRVT-valuer and broker.
